Murad Abu Eisheh is an award-winning Jordanian filmmaker, screenwriter and festival programmer. He studied Film and Visual Communication at the German Jordanian University before completing his directing studies at the Filmakademie Baden-WΓΌrttemberg in Germany. His films explore identity, memory, and family through intimate, character-driven narratives grounded in social and emotional realities.
Murad Abu Eishehβs work has screened internationally and received recognition at major festivals, including the Red Sea Film Festival, Portland International Film Festival, and the Rhode Island International Film Festival. His short film Talaβvision won the Student Academy Award, earning him membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in the Short Film branch. He is currently developing his debut feature film and has participated in leading international labs and markets. Alongside his filmmaking practice, Murad is actively involved in film development, education and mentorship, with a strong focus on emerging filmmakers and first-time voices.
As co-Head of Programming at the Amman International Film Festival β Awal Film, overseeing the Arab Documentary Features and Non-Arab Features sections, Murad Abu Eisheh remains committed to independent cinema and to building meaningful bridges between local stories and global audiences.
