This non-competitive section showcases the first and latest work of an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, working in any of the many fields of filmmaking. The First & Latest Film section involves a master class or discussions, featuring his/her work to present a closer look at his/her experience and at how the creative process or style has evolved over the years.

AMMAN FILM INDUSTRY DAYS (AFID)

The Amman Film Industry Days (AFID) is the industrial arm of the Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film (AIFF). Its programme includes masterclasses, workshops, panels and discussions. In addition, it offers three pitching platforms for projects in development and post-production. And the Amman Film Market is a dedicated space to connect filmmakers with potential funders, partners and distributors. In addition to The Spark Series which marks a first initiative of its kind in the Arab world to spotlight web series as a powerful tool of short, unexpensive yet impactful and accessible storytelling.
