Fadi Haddad is a Jordanian creative consultant and academic with a diverse experience in cinema, television and higher education in the Arab World. He has worked professionally as a writer, director, editor and creative producer on films that premiered and won awards at major international festivals. He is currently an Associate Professor at the American University in Dubai, where he teaches screenwriting and filmmaking. Alongside his academic career, he works as a script development consultant for regional platforms and production companies, contributing to the development of Arabic series and feature film projects. His research on Arab television and transnational storytelling offers a deep understanding of narrative forms, production cultures, and audience dynamics. He is also the creator and host of Talfaza, a podcast dedicated to revisiting Arab TV series from the 1980s to the 2000s, and contextualizing them within pop culture.
As co-Head of Programming at the Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film, overseeing the Arab Narrative Features and Shorts sections, Fadi Haddad is committed to supporting diverse voices, authentic storytelling, and emerging filmmakers from across the region.
