Omar M. Masri is the Chief Executive Officer of Edgo, a leading regional oil and gas group with operations across the Middle East and Africa. He has over 30 years of experience spanning investment and commercial banking. Prior to joining Edgo in 2006, Masri founded Atlas Investment Group in 1996, an investment banking boutique serving the Middle East and North Africa. In 2004, Arab Bank Group acquired Atlas, rebranding it as Al Arabi Investment Group Co. (AB Invest), and appointed Masri as Arab Bank’s first Global Head of Investment Banking.
Before establishing Atlas, Masri worked in London as a Fund Manager at Foreign & Colonial Emerging Markets, where he structured and managed the first regional Middle Eastern and North African investment fund, which was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Masri holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the George Washington University and completed a two-year, intensive wholesale credit training program at CoreStates Financial Corporation in collaboration with the Wharton Business School in the United States. An avid skier, Omar Masri enjoys gardening, traveling, and running.
