Irène Challand

Irène Challand is a member of the Executive Board of the International Documentary Film Festival - Visions du Réel in Nyon (Switzerland) she is the Head of Public Value at the Headquarters of the Swiss Broadcasting Society (SRG), the Public Media Broadcaster. From 2001 to 2018, she led the Documentary Film Unit at the French Swiss Radio and Television.

There, she set up new programming policies, national and international co-productions and sought to strengthen links with independent producers and filmmakers in Switzerland and abroad. She was committed to developing international co-productions, several of which have won awards at the Berlin, Locarno, Venice, Toronto, Amsterdam, Nyon and Sundance Film Festivals and have been nominated for Oscars.
