Joseph Bitamba

Joseph Bitamba is originally from Burundi, where he first worked for national television. He then completed several internships in Belgium, France and Burkina Faso. He earned a certificate in screenwriting from the École Internationale de Bordeaux, as well as a certificate in film production management at the INA in Paris. In 2003, Bitamba moved to Toronto, where he worked as a screenwriter and director, attended scriptwriting and documentary directing workshops organized by the NFB in Toronto. He directed documentaries, which have been broadcasted on Radio Canada, TFO, and TV5. Bitamba has worked as a director and journalist for TFO.
