2) Pitching & Awards

Selected participants will pitch their film projects in a public presentation to an independent jury and to industry professionals attending AFID. The jury selects the winners who will be granted in-kind or cash awards to help them move towards completion. AFID’s market partners will also offer additional awards.

3) Participation Commitment (Mandatory Attendance)

Selected project teams are required to fully participate in the official AFID programme during their stay in Amman. This includes:

  • Mandatory attendance at pitching training sessions and rehearsals (as scheduled by AFID). The training is in English.
  • Pitching the project in front of the AFID jury and industry attendees; the pitching language is mainly English but the participant can also pitch in Arabic, in which case the festival will provide translation to the jurors if needed.
  • Participating in the Amman Projects Market, including meetings with industry professionals arranged by AFID and/or requested through the market framework.

Failure to attend these mandatory activities may affect the team’s eligibility to participate and/or remain in the programme.

4) Mandatory Credit Requirement (for winners)

All winners at AFID’s pitching platforms are required to include the following line and the AIFF logo in the film’s credits roll when the film is made:
