Khadar Ayderus Ahmed is a Somali-Finnish screenwriter and director who has written short films, features and a TV-series. His feature directorial debut “The Gravedigger’s Wife” world premiered in competition during Critic's Week at Cannes film festival 2021.
The film has been screened in more than 95 film festivals, winning more than 25 prizes in four continents including the Amplify Voices Award at Toronto International film festival 2021 and the Golden Stallion of Yennenga at FESPACO 2021. “The Gravedigger's Wife” became Somalia's first ever Oscar submission in 2021.
