Ronald P. Glasbergen grew up and still mostly lives in Rotterdam. After leaving home at eighteen, he worked in construction while studying to become an architect. By thirty-one he also became an artist. Both careers made him curious for a bird's eye view of his surroundings. With some luck he steered himself towards curating art shows at home and abroad. Next to artists, he was also exhibiting architects and filmmakers. To make more sense of it he also studied film and international politics. Collaborating with two anthropologist friends as a cinematographer, Glasbergen worked throughout the Sahel area. He went on as a curator and writer. Currently he is the chief editor of Vandaagenmorgen. Glasbergen writes mainly on the arts, film and international politics.
