Ali Alyasery

Ali Alyasery has been writing about film criticism for nearly two decades, with numerous articles and research papers published in Iraqi and Arab cultural journals, as well as on online cinematic platforms. He has participated in several film festivals, serving on juries and selection committees and has moderated critical discussions both in Iraq and internationally. One of his recent contributions was his involvement with 70 Arab critics in selecting the 100 most important Arab films addressing women’s issues, as part of the Aswan International Women Film Festival. He is also a member of the Iraqi Film Fund committee, which aims to foster a supportive environment for Iraqi filmmakers and strengthen the country’s cinematic infrastructure.
