RHINOCÉROS

Synopsis: Camilia, a young woman in her twenties, lives in a parallel universe, in which all the inhabitants are on wheelchairs. Camilia is the only person who does not have a physical disability. She feels excluded and has difficulty accepting her physical otherness. Her passion for cinema and theatre fills her life, as well as her desire to become an actress. Because of the pressure put on her by society and the pain she feels, she is forced to break her own legs.

Director’s biography: Yasmina Khatib, is a Lebanese actress and filmmaker with a passion for theatre and acting; she grew up participating in multiple plays that led her to pursue an education in cinema. She chose filmmaking because she believes in the power of movies and the impact of a director on their audience.
