Tima Shomali is an award-winning Arab director, showrunner, producer, writer, and Founder & CEO of Filmizion Productions. She rose to prominence with the hit series FemaleShow, which amassed over 100 million views across three seasons. She holds a BA in Business Administration and Finance and an MFA in Screenwriting and Producing from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts.
Tima is the creator, showrunner, and director of the Netflix Original AlRawabi School for Girls, a groundbreaking series that earned regional and global acclaim. Released in 2021, its second season debuted in 2024, reaching Netflixβs Global Top 10 in 43 countries and winning Best Levant Series at the Joy Awards 2025.
